Light Night Performance at St. Luke’s Church (Bombed Out Church) with Liverpool Signing Choir

What is a Signing Choir?

In the UK, choirs that use British Sign Language (BSL) to perform musical repertoire are known as signing choirs. Signing choirs were first developed in the Church, in partnership with the Deaf members of the congregation, to encourage equality between the experience of Deaf and hearing members in services.

The Liverpool Signing Choir is an amazing group who know that
Signs are to Eyes what Words are to Ears. They recently celebrated their 10th Anniversary. Part of their aim is to help all people communicate much better with everyone. The Choir is run on a voluntary basis, by a fab Team, all of whom freely give up their time to make this happen. Heather Fleming (Dir), Catherine Hegarty, Elaine and the Team can be contacted by email on theliverpoolsigningchoir@gmail.com.
Please get in touch and get involved.
