AMAZING ST. PATRICK’S BANK HOLIDAY

What a brilliant St. Patrick’s weekend we’ve had, starting with our IBE Lunch on Friday then the Grand Slam on Saturday. There were 64 people in the room.  The atmosphere at the Old Hall in the Cotton Exchange is great.

We were honoured with the presence of our Lord Mayor, Malcolm Kennedy and Lady Mayoress. We also had Councillor James Noakes who is a wonderful IBE supporter. And our Guest Speaker was Páraig Hennessy, Economic and Commercial Counsellor based in the Embassy of Ireland.

Along with 3 top Speakers we had a wonderful Buffet prepared with due care and attention to feed an Irish Army.  Not a sandwich in sight!  Food included Gluten Free and Vegan options plus special treats of Guinness Cake and Irish Potato Candy.  This was provided by Dave of Peninsula Catering who thinks of everything.  He even printed the menu with our name on it. Let me know if you’d like an introduction.

As ever, we had a video crew and photographer, Aidan O’Rourke and Raymond Farley. Pictures and videos will be on our website soon. It was great to see so much networking around the room.

I’d like to say a special thank you to our IBE Members who supported us on the day.  From the feedback I gather a great time was had by all.

I love to cover all the little details like having St. Patrick’s Day cards for our Guest Speakers.  Then proper Irish Shamrock sent over from Ireland for the Speakers, the Photographers, our Caterer and, of course, all our IBE Members who joined us.

Our next connection with Ireland is a Trade Mission Trip next month. We’ve already booked our tickets. There are some super connections set up for us to meet in Dublin.  If interested in any of this get in touch ASAP.
